Chapter 7 Bankruptcy, The company I worked for filed bankruptcy as I was being paid severance

The company I worked for filed bankruptcy as I was being paid severance. I was told to file a proof of claim under their chapter 11 bankruptcy which was then converted to chapter 7. The Partners who owned the company made good on some of the debts owed to former employees.
