i was curious about my rights as a dog owner, if someone were to break into my house and my dog were to attack that person, what type of consequences would i find myself in.

My friend is trying to blackmail another friend, because she would sneak him into the house once in a while and says if he does anything wrong she is going to report him for breaking and entering. I was wondering, technically the “crime” was never reported, they have no physical evidence except for a he said she said, and he didn’t steal anything. If she chose to report him for breaking and entering (She is a minor, her father would do the reporting) could it technically be a B&E or would the charges be a misdemeanor, maybe a slap on the wrist but nothing serious due to lack of physical evidence
