I have decided to do a rent-to-own in Kalkaska Michigan. I was recently told by someone uninvolved that there may be a grandfather clause in the deed saying that the property HAS to stay in the family. Is there anyway I can force the seller to show me the deed so I know I’m not getting ripped off?
