I am a small business owner. I leased a small space in a commercial building and later found out that water was seeping into my space, and that this was a pre-existing problem which landlord did not disclose to me. The foul smell from the wet carpet and potential of mold developing adversely affected my employees and my business
I’m a college student and I signed an apartment lease agreement for next August. My parents won’t sign the cosign, and my landlord says that it’s better if they do because I’m not financially independent. They say that they won’t do it until they know exactly which room in the complex I will get.
This occurred in Indianapolis, Indiana: I had been communicating with my landlord that I would be moving. I had been there for five years and he communicated to me that I would need to be out by February.
I lived in an apartment building, and I paid the rent every month… I was supposed to give a notice two months before moving out, which I didn’t.. I gave a one month notice, and I was aware that I had to pay a month of rent extra.. However, the landlord told me that everything was fine, that I didn’t owe anything AFTER ONE YEAR.
I need some help. Me, my husband, and our three-year-old daughter lived in an apartment for 3 years. When we moved in the carpet was kinda stained but for the most part it was a nice apartment.
