I have pending misdemeanor charges for theft by taking and stalking in Paulding County, Georgia. The state is perusing the charges not the individual, so they have no evidence or witnesses. I am not allowed to contact the individual to discuss the matter according to the state

I received a felony charge for an attempted burglary when I was 18 in 2004. I served 4 of the 5 yrs of my probation sentence which was terminated early so I could enlist in the military. I’ve been working for the past 8 months to get everything in line to enlist and now I’m being told right before I’m supposed to go to MEPS that the felony charge is going to prevent me from enlisting
