Does an HOA trump TX law?

According to TABC 109.35 it’s legal to walk down the street drinking a beer unless a city has adopted said section. Recently at a car show on HOA (our) property within the city we were told no beer allowed. Can an HOA trump the law without adopting this section

My neighbor has been upgrading his property, he has put in a swimming pool and added concrete to that area as well as putting flowerbeds along our property line. The problem that I am faced with is water runoff from his sprinkler systems, and he has also disrupted the rain water runoff.

Can I compel an HOA to provide an invoice for the HOA dues on a condo I manage for my bank/owner? It has been 3 months, I’ve requested numerous times to receive an invoice and have given them everything they’ve asked for. Also, can an HOA make up the amount of dues owed?

I am located in unincorporated Kitsap County, Washington State. I have filed easement paperwork (done 1979) for a 30 foot wide (15 feet each direction of centerline) and 600 feet long easement for ingress, egress, and utilities on a total of three properties. I was recently surveyed and found the easement to be in the wrong location.

Florida HOAs’ authority is CH 720 F.S. Where the HOA owes a unit owner and the unit owner is a valid creditor where is the case law or other authority that denies the creditor/owner the right to set-off the amount due against the HOA assessments? This presumes that the HOA has refused to pay the invoices/bills submitted for payment.

My HOA raised our monthly fees in January, however I was not made aware of this through any type of correspondence (I continued to pay the same amount I have the past three years). I only found out last weekend when they simply refused to reprogram our pool key so we would have access to our amenities.

Can a HOA publicly disclose outstanding fees of residents through a mass e-mail? I’m not on the list, but I’m appalled that they did this. Our HOA sent a mass e-mail to all residents and listed the names, addresses, and past due amounts of all residents who now have liens on their homes as a result of the late dues.
