power of attorney, i currently hold power of attorney of my mother, i live in british columbia ..

i currently hold power of attorney of my mother, i live in british columbia canada, i believe its been changed to my sister without notification, and my mother is currently in the hospital, if this is even possible could her state of mind be valid enough to switch?
