Pursuit of Shoplifter from store causing injury
A shoplifter left Walgreens in Parsippany, NJ, and was then pursued by store personnel into the parking lot, where the “getaway” van ran over the shoplifter in a panic trying to avoid arrest. The police were not called at the time of the actual shoplifting, only after the shoplifter left the store and then got injured. Can the shoplifter sue Walgreens for not adhering to their policies re not pursuing shoplifters out of the store
